This guide explains how to set up the Mixture Interpretation Settings. You can set up default settings for all Loci or settings by Locus.
Click on the "Mixture Interpretation" tab in the ArmedXpert Options Window.
Enter in Default Settings for All Loci
Add default values into the box right of each type. Once set the mixture interpretation window will only show allele possibilities equal or greater than the value set. For example, if the minimum peak height (mPH) is set at 50, the Mixture Interpretation Window will only include allele possibilities equal to or greater than 50 mPH.
The mixture interpretations settings can be changed in the Mixture Interpretation Window for a specific sample. This does not change the default settings for the software. The default settings can only be set through this window.
Enter MPH and PHR ranges per Loci
Click on the "Quality Control" tab next to the "Mixture Interpretation" tab. To the far right of each Locus, is a column for MPH (minimum peak height) and PHR (peak height ratio) Ranges.
Enter in the appropriate MPH value for each by Locus under the MPH column.
When you double click on the PHR Range cell, a box will open to help you enter in the PHR range. Enter in the appropriate range.
Set Other Miscellaneous Mixture Interpretation Window Settings
There are sort, save, and display setting options available.
Go to the Mixture Interpretation Tab in the ArmedXpert Options Window. Click on the box next to each to turn these features on or off.
The sort loci by allele count option, displays the loci with the largest number of alleles first in the Mixture Interpretation Window. It is the same as checking ‘Highest to Lowest #’ in the Mixture Interpretation Window.
The List proportions as dilutions (1:X) option, displays the proportion as dilutions instead of percentages in the mixture interpretation window.
The “Prompt to save on window close” option will bring up a confirmation window asking you to save or not when you close the Mixture Interpretation Window. The “Prompt to save on application close” option will do the same thing if you close ArmedXpert and the Mixture Interpretation Window is open.
