This guide walks you through the Interpretation Quality Control options section of the ArmedXpert Options Window. This section displays the thresholds used during the check controls. It displays the stutter amount used for each Locus. The section also allows you to add MPH and PHR ranges for individual Locus. This explains how to make changes to the Interpretation Quality Contril settings. It also explains how to add additional new Loci from a Table and manually.
Open the ArmedXpert Options window. Click on "Interpretation" on the left hand side of the window. Then click on the "Quality Control" tab.
This section displays the Low and High thresholds as well as the stutter amounts for each Locus. To make changes to the amounts already set in ArmedXpert, go to the cell you would like to change and type in the necessary change. For example, if the Low threshold for D8S1179 needs to be changed, click on the D8S1179 Low Cell. Type the correct number. Repeat these steps for all necessary changes and when you are finished click on the "Ok" button.
The mPH or PHr is set for all Loci on the Mixture Interpretation tab. ArmedXpert allows you to set individual Locus MPH (minimum peak height) or PHR (peak height ratio) range. Theses will overide the global settings set on the Mixture Interpreation tab. If you would like to add these, click on the appropriate cell and type in the necessary amount. Repeat until you have all needed amounts added. Then click on the "Ok" button.
You can add additional Loci, by either directly entering them into the table or adding them from a table.
To add them in manually, just type the new Locus in the next blank row in the table and fill in the necessary amounts for that new Locus. Repeat until all new Loci has been added.
To add Loci in from a table, open the table in ArmedXpert. Click on the "Add Loci from Table" button.
Click on the table shown on the left hand side of the window. Then click on the > arrow and this will add the table to the right hand side of the window. Then click on the "Ok" button.
A window with all the Loci from the table will open. A check mark is shown next to each Locus. Click on any of the boxes next to a Locus to remove a check mark for any Locus that you do not want to add. Click the "Ok" button to add the Loci.
The Quality Control tab opens back up with all the new Loci that have been added. Add the necessary amounts for each Locus and when finished click the "Ok" button.
